My name is Regina Lark. I am powerfully intentional entrepreneur. I have an earned Ph.D. in history from the University of Southern California, and I am the owner of two companies. The first, A Clear Path, is a professional organizing business that I started in October 2008. My team and I work with professional women, baby boomers, and senior citizens to de-clutter and organize their stuff. Think of a professional organizer as a cross between a therapist and a demolition expert.
My other business, Q2D Speed Dating, is the only gay and lesbian speed dating company serving Southern California. Launched 2 months ago Q2D provides opportunities for people in my community to meet their next date, or the love of their life.
The connection between my two enterprises is simple. One company will uncluttered your closet, the other will keep you out of it.
But I digress.
Today my world is all about the growth of my two companies. In this endeavor I experience my greatest joy. I have never been happier. I am committed to what it will take to create and earn multiple streams revenue. And I know that my income will increase because I believe unequivocally that it will. Accordingly, one of the most important concepts I embrace is this: that my brain and my attitude are the most powerful tools that I have to create my personal wealth, and tap into alternate and positive ways of living your life.
I’ll give you an example with this story. “Everything you wanted to know about being a prostitute but were afraid to ask,” was the title of a book I could have written after my short incarceration at the Los Angeles county jail for women – Sybil Brand Institute. I was arrested with two Bench warrants and an old DUI. I was 23 years old. I used to party like it was 19-99. I was like Mikey – the kid who would eat anything. I was the one who would ingest anything, well practically anything. There was a day I was about to slam some heroin into arm. I did not follow through because I knew that I would like it too much to ever stop. I was that kind of an addict.
The fear of going to jail brought me to the doors of Alcoholics Anonymous. Well that, and a violent episode I had with my spouse at that time. Thirty years older than I, much bigger (he was a boxer during the Korean War), and Black, Manny and I went a few rounds one drunken night. I gave as good as I got, and he awoke the next night with an impressive shiner.
Ten days after my first AA meeting, and armed with a list of signatures from AA meeting leaders testifying to my attendance, I turned myself into court. The judge was not in the mood for excuses and the bailiff escorted me to my new home.
“Everything you wanted to know about being a prostitute but were afraid to ask” was a good story. I spoke at length to all the hookers. I asked them every question I could think of. I learned that nearly every one of these women went to jail for one of three reasons: a man, a drug addiction, or poverty. The inmates at Sybil Brand liked me. They corn-rowed my waist-length hair, and stood up for me when I was accused of concealing drugs. Upon my release I waved good-bye to my new friends and vowed to never return.
A few days after I got home I resumed my life as a sober person and community college student. My dismal transcripts revealed my lack of focus and alcohol addiction. For 5 years my grades were either an “F” for fail or “W” for withdrawn. Not exactly scholar material.
Out of jail and with little more than a month of sobriety, I looked at my life in a different way. I examined school and my grades through a new lens. The starting over was taking place; the new journey had begun.

There is nothing more gratifying or powerful than watching a group of women from all walks of life come together, share their stories, share their strengths, share their weaknesses and learn and grow together over a weekend. The Power of 7 weekend retreat kick-off was not only a success, it was a joy to be a part of.
Hi Ladies;
